The Library Trustees serve you and the citizens of Jefferson County as unpaid citizen volunteers. We welcome your comments and suggestions about what you want from your library. Linda Rockwell, Chair

Rockwell moved to Wheat Ridge in 1976 with her young family and to Evergreen in 1982. She has a long history of civic activism, primarily regarding land use and politics. In 1993, she was instrumental in founding the Mountain Area Land Trust, a nonprofit that works through public/private partnerships to preserve unique properties in and near Evergreen. She served as chair of the Jefferson County Democratic Party from 1993-1997 and has remained active in local races, running herself for Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder in 2006. From 2000-2004, Rockwell taught English as a Second Language to immigrant families at the Learning Source in Lakewood, and served on the Jefferson County Public Schools Strategic Planning Advisory Committee from 2005-2009. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the Pennsylvania State University.

A Colorado native and graduate of the University of Colorado School of Journalism, Anna was raised on a family farm near Otis, Colo.. She has more than 30 years of diversified experience in private and public arenas, and since 1977 she's been the CEO of Anna Public Relations Consultants. Clients include professional associations, scientific firms, human service agencies, nonprofit organizations, and political candidates. Services include promotional publications, targeted community outreach programs - including social media options, nonprofit fundraising/event planning, specialized workshop presentations, campaign management, and conference planner. Her current community service includes: trustee - Jefferson County Public Library; National Executive Board - Urban Libraries Council; Board of Directors - Stride, and a volunteer for several community organizations. Professional leadership includes: treasurer - Colorado Freedom of Information Council, past president National Federation of Press Women (NFPW), past president Colorado Press Women (CPW), and trustee - National First Amendment Congress.

T.J Carney

Carney is a Colorado native who grew up in Golden and now practices law in Arvada at Oliver and Carney, P.C. His current practice emphasizes the representation of businesses and individuals in real estate transactions, business and personal planning and trial matters. He also is active in the Bar Association. Carney is the past president of the Library Foundation Board, and also serves on the board of the Foothills Fire Protection District. He previously served with the Jefferson County Public Schools on the Budget Review, Textbook Review, School Level and Area Level committees. Carney has had a love for libraries since August of 1952, when his mother first brought him to the library. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Denver College of Law.

Brian DeLaet

Growing up on the plains of Nebraska, DeLaet was a frequent visitor (to his Grandmother) in Jefferson County as a boy. After serving as an educational missionary with the Lutheran Church for many years, he and his wife Maki and four children located to Wheat Ridge in 1998. While running their own business, EduCyber, Inc., they have been engaged in the community in a variety of ways. Mr. DeLaet is a member of the Optimists, has been active with the Boy Scouts of America for over 10 years, has been a volunteer at both Kullerstrand elementary and Bethlehem Lutheran School and has worked with the internship program at Lakewood High School. He was the first board president for Wheat Ridge 2020, an economic and community development corporation in Wheat Ridge and continues to be involved with that organization, having completed the Wheat Ridge 2020 Planning Academy in early summer of 2011. Mr. DeLaet loves books and loves libraries as well as having an intense interest in technology and how technology affects how we interact with books and with libraries.

E. F. "Buddy" Douglass

Douglass serves as president, FirstBank of Lakewood. He has been in the commercial banking business for more than 35 years and has worked for FirstBank for the past 17. He serves as vice chair of Jefferson Economic Council; vice president of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Colorado; and treasurer of Family HomeStead. In addition, he is a former member of the Jefferson County Library Foundation Board of Directors. In 2006 he was appointed by Governor Ritter to the State Board of Private Occupational Schools. Douglass has lived in Jefferson County for the past 25 years. He has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of New Mexico.

Ray Elliott

Elliott is the chief financial officer of Controlled Products System Group, Inc. (CPSG), which distributes access control and security products from 15 branches in 10 states. Under his leadership, the company has been restored from severe financial distress into a thriving business. He has more than 20 years of management and financial experience. He previously worked for Big O Tires and Arthur Andersen. Elliott has lived in Jefferson County since 1988. He is a former member of the Lakewood City Council. He was elected in 1999 and 2003, and has served as mayor pro tem and council president. He was elected to the Foothills Park and Recreation District Board in 1996 and served on Jefferson County's 2009 Citizen Budget Review Panel. A CPA, Elliott has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Bob Jones University, graduating magna cum laude.
