For three young men growing up in South Central Los Angeles, the "hood" is a place of drive-by shootings, unemployment, drugs and pain. But their reactions to the world around them vary: one is an unambitious drug dealer, his brother is a college bound teenage father, and the brother's best friend is guided by a strong father who hopes for a better life for his son.

The world is bright and everything seems possible for Richard Karlsen, the golden boy of his privileged set of Dublin teens, until he does something that destroys it all and shatters the lives of the people closest to him.

A contemporary take on the Oscar Wilde fable, thirteen year old Arbor and Swifty, best friends for whom the joys of boyhood are almost nonexistent. Excluded from school and outsiders in their own neighborhood, the two boys meet Kitten, a local scrap dealer. Wandering their town with just a horse and a cart, they begin collecting scrap metal for him. Swifty has a natural gift with horses while Arbor emulates Kitten, keen to impress him and make some money. However, Kitten favors Swifty, leaving Arbor feeling hurt and excluded, driving a wedge between the boys.

Howard Holloway is a down-on-his luck agent for child actors and one of the last good guys left in Hollywood. After discovering a thirteen-year-old acting prodigy, he is poised to close the deal of a lifetime which would catapult them into the big time. Now he must juggle the actress' volatile father, dodge a scheming producer, and outwit his uber-slick nemesis. As he arrives on the brink of his dream, he begins to sense that his innocent young starlet may not be quite what she seems.

A master martial artist is sent by British intelligence to the island fortress of a criminal warlord, whose martial arts academy also serves as a front for opium-smuggling and prostitution rings.
