Eric joined Jefferson County Public Library in March 2014. He is responsible for the overall planning, policy creation, direction, and operation of the Library’s Information Technology (IT) department. He is also charged with setting the Library’s technology vision and strategy; recommending and implementing appropriate technologies for patron access and use; overseeing computer services, applications, systems, networks, security and communications; and managing a staff of 11.
Prior to joining JCPL, Eric served as a Senior IT Project Manager for Jefferson County. He has held senior-level positions with a number of technology companies, including Pacific Metrics Corporation; Blue Dot Solutions; Lipper, a Thomson Reuters company; and Triad Financial Corporation. In 1997, he co-founded and served as chief technology officer for Grey Zone, Inc., an Internet software company delivering solutions in Web security, content management, eCommerce and portal technology to Fortune 500 companies. Eric holds a B.A. degree in computer science from the University of California in Santa Cruz.
