Prom Swap is On

Thank you, Jefferson County! Your generosity is enabling Prom Swap to go on. We received hundreds of dress donations and now we're ready for our teens to either swap their dress for new-to-them dresses, or they “buy” something with canned goods.  Prom Swap items "cost" an equal trade, or five cans per dress, two for shoes, one per accesssory. Donations benefit Florence Crittenton High School and the Jeffco Action Center.

The Basics: Alzheimer's

Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging although the greatest known risk factor is increasing age, and the majority of people with Alzheimer's are 65 and older. But Alzheimer's is not just a disease of old age. Up to 5 percent of people with the disease have early onset Alzheimer's (also known as younger-onset), which often appears when someone is in their 40s or 50s. If you or someone you know is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, come learn the facts. Presented by the Alzheimer's Association, this program provides information on detection, risk factors, stages of the disease, treatments and more.  This free class requires registration.
