The Recycled Lamb Yarn and Fiber Arts store will join us for this special storytime, featuring stories about fiber arts, including a demonstration of weaving, spinning and rope- making. Kids will learn a new craft, while adults will learn about this exciting art form.
Saturday April 20th, The Conifer Story Time will have a special guest. Local author Joan Arent will visit the library and help me with story time at 11:30 am. Joan will be reading two of her books and have the kids doing some different games and activities associated with the books.
Peek-a-Boo Who? inspires children to read and learn with guessing games, playing Peek-A-Boo, through noun awareness and word association.
The Bird Herd Goes to Bed is an enchanting story that helps children find comfort in going to sleep.
No tickets are necessary. If you have any questions please call the library at 303-235-JCPL (5275) and ask for Brian at Conifer Library.
Come and join our dance party for exercise, learning, and most of all, fun through music!
This is geared toward 2-4 year olds, but all ages are welcome. This party will take place at the Wheat Ridge Library before the library opens for regular business, so please come to the staff entrance located to the west and back from the main door
"Even if you get nothing else accomplished today, you have done something wonderful for your baby by being here!"
This is how I often start Baby Time. It's 20 minutes of early literacy skills cleverly disguised as play for the 0-2 year-old crowd. Songs, rhymes, stories, scarves and bells are just part of the fun. We also learn how to share, put our toys away and communicate. Parents and caregivers not only bond with their children but get to share experiences and talk to other grown-ups!
Baby Time is my favorite time of day. Visit your Jeffco library for Baby Time and make it your favorite time as well! We hope to see you soon!
On July 9th and July 18th, Arvada kids had a snortin' good time with Mudslinger and Digger at the Top Hogs show.
Called "the einsteins of porcine," Mudslinger and Digger wowed the crowd with a variety of tricks. The pigs played sports, made music, rode a skateboard and even put their toys away when they were finished playing with them!
Did you see Mudslinger and Digger at the Top Hogs show this summer? Tell us all about it!
