POSITION: Accounting and Budget Manager #2012-29, Jefferson County Public Library

PURPOSE:
Responsible for overall accounting for the Library. Assist with the development of the Library's annual budget. Supervise the accounting department staff and their work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Employee will monitor and report on budget versus actual comparison & projected usage by preparing analysis, reconciliation, reviews & projections. Provide routine and special reports for Library management, auditors, Jefferson County Budget and Accounting departments. Acts as a liaison to various departments and external sources, verifies document accuracy for submission. Will help managers of each business unit prepare the unit budgets, compile draft budget reports, coordinates budget updates and submissions, prepares and distributes budget monitoring reports. Verify report accuracy by estimating and compiling various revenues and expenses, review existing reports, and reconcile and verify the data. Manage and supervise the accounting department and their work.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, government finance, business administration, public administration or other related field plus a minimum of five years of accounting experience to include two years of supervisory experience or a equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis.

SALARY: $5,416.66 - $6,250.00 Monthly
$64,999.92 - $75,000.00 Annually
