Wheat Ridge Reads, a citywide book club, is featuring the book Halfway to Heaven: My White-knuckled — and Knuckleheaded — Quest for the Rocky Mountain High, by local author Mark Obmascik.
Jefferson County Public Library and the Wheat Ridge Cultural Commission invite you to meet Obmascik in person and share in his rollicking, witty, sometimes harrowing, often poignant account of scaling all 54 of Colorado’s 14,000-foot mountains.

Events for the 2013 One Book. 1 Golden. program begin this month, kicking off with a book discussion group featuring this year’s selection, Benediction by Kent Haruf. We will also be featuring a panel discussion on "turning the other cheek" with local faith leaders and a photo contest designed to showcase what makes Golden so special.
The program culminates with a reading a book signing with Kent Haruf!
