Just last week, the Standley Lake Library Manager reported that members of a local book group donated approximately $200 to support the Library and literacy in Jefferson County. We were blown away by their generosity.
And guess what? These donations add up!
The Jefferson County Library Foundation (JCLF) reports that donations to JCLF's year-end appeal increased by 36 percent this year! At close-of-business on December 31, the Foundation had received contributions totaling $38,710, up from $28,503 in 2013. That's a huge boost to the future of Jefferson County!
Thanks to generous contributions from our patrons and others, thousands of children will receive a book of their own to take home in 2015. And thousands of children will receive the spark of literacy to ignite their curiosity and brighten their lives.
Thank you for sharing your love of reading and learning. It's a great way to start the New Year!
