Three changes coming to My Account and Catalog Searching

by:
Joanna

We heard your feedback. Starting Sept. 4 you will see some improvements to the catalog experience.

1. My Account - Direct access to your account and a new display. That annoying extra click will be gone.

2. 3M eBooks in your account - See what 3M eBooks you have on hold and checked out.

3. Availability at a glance - Colors help you see what items are available (green) and checked out (red). You can also see what eBooks are available.

Why does it seem as if there are constant changes?
Jefferson County Public Library is a development partner with the company that makes our catalog software. The biggest advantage of being partners is that we are able to have more input into the design of each upgrade as it is being developed. Over the years, this partnership has proven priceless, and as with all technology, things are moving quicker these days. We thank you for your valuable feedback and patience, and rest assured we do our best to keep your needs in mind. Keep the feedback coming.

Get Ready for Some FUN…iculars That Is

by:
Bethany

Golden has always been a popular destination for day trips, but do you know the history of the city’s rail lines that helped contribute to its popularity? Golden author Barb Warden will discuss two of the most spectacular funicular railways built in the early 20th century, why these rail lines were established in Golden and why they disappeared in a few short years.

She will also discuss how streetcar service from Denver contributed to Golden's tourism industry and how light rail may entice a new generation of visitors.

Ms. Warden will be signing her book The Funiculars of Golden Colorado following the program, and books will be available for purchase.
