Who can use the Bookmobile?
Although the primary focus of the Bookmobile is the senior community, anyone is welcome to use the Bookmobile. However, we do not carry Children’s materials.
Can I get a library card on the Bookmobile?
Yes, we are always happy to make you a library card.
Can I return books from other locations to the Bookmobile?
Yes, books checked out from any Jefferson County Public Library location may be returned to the Bookmobile, and vice versa.
If the catalog says that an item is at the Bookmobile, does that mean it is on the vehicle?
Not always. If something is at the Bookmobile, and you wish to pick it up at a Bookmobile stop, call 303-235-5275 and we will check to make sure it is on the vehicle.
What if I am unable to come out to the Bookmobile when it arrives?
Please fill out a Homebound Library Service Application and Bookmobile staff will deliver items to your door.

• Handicapped-accessible Bookmobile has been on the road since July 2009.
• The Bookmobile and Outreach collection includes about 17,000 items.
• The number of visitors each month is about 700.
• The Bookmobile has solar panels and a hybrid generator to help save fuel.
