Summer Reading Club has come to an end. Make sure you get to one of our libraries to pick up your prizes if you haven’t done that yet. You’ll have until Aug. 31 to do so.

We hope you had as much fun as we did this year! Our goals are to make sure you're having a good time and meeting your needs. Tell us what you thought about this year's Summer Reading Club.

Until next year…

Check Out an iPad Mini at Edgewater

by:
Bethany

The Edgewater Library now has iPad Minis available for kids and teens to check out for use in the library.

We started this service to support Jeffco Public Schools' IMPACT initiative. Last year, Jeffco Schools provided an iPad to students in five area schools (Lumberg Elementary, Molholm Elementary, Stevens K-4, Wheat Ridge 5-8, and Jefferson High School). Their goal was to not only provide access to technology, but to enhance the way the students learn.

Unfortunately, at the end of the school year, the students had to return the iPads, but they have been able to continue to use the technology at the library over the summer! Using the iPads boosts skills in math, science, technology, and reading, as well as improves social skills. It also allows parents an opportunity to get familiar with the devices their children are using at school.

The iPad Minis are available to check out for one hour at a time for use in the library. Head over and try one out today!
