Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) announced today that a planned remodel of the Evergreen Library is being postponed pending further notice. More info
In the Evergreen Library, you might feel like you are in a mountain lodge, especially sitting by the fireplace in the reading room or rocking a toddler in the turret that defines the children's area. Out the window you can catch a glimpse of the elk or deer that pass to bed down nearby. The Xeriscape garden maintained by the Evergreen Garden Club completes the lodge-like setting.
The mountain lifestyle attracts all sorts of people to Evergreen. Some move here to get away from fast-paced urban life. Others embrace the technology of the Information Age to do world-class work from this beautiful place. Both types find what they need at the Evergreen Library. The "get-away" crowd can enjoy the restful high-ceilinged spaces, browse the community displays near the entrance and view the latest exhibits of local artwork and permanent sculpture. The entrepreneurs can find resources for small businesses, rent the meeting room for presentations, use the library's Web-enabled computers or work from home with the Online Library.
Whether you want to use the library to get away or get the job done, Evergreen is the place to be.
