As a kickoff to our Dig Into Reading Summer Reading Club, a few employees of Jefferson County Open Space brought their very own backhoe to the Golden Library on May 31st!

The backhoe’s bucket was decked out with a display of books and kids got to climb in and out of the seat where the operator sits!  Open Space employees presented information about the kinds of things backhoes are used for and answered questions.

Join us at Arvada Library today to let your Inner Gardening Guerilla out -- Make SEED BOMBS and spread the BEAUTY!

Tuesday, May 28th @ 4:30pm.

*MAGIC not instantaneous.  They're seeds.  They take time. But you know what I mean...  EVENTUALLY it will be MAGICAL. Or at least pretty.

Author Janice McDermott to Visit Wheat Ridge

by:
Bethany

As part of the Wheat Ridge Library's monthly book discussion group, you're invited to join author Janice McDermott as she discusses her book What Would Your Father Say? My Journey to Hope and Light.

This memoir takes readers on a sometimes sad, often jubilant jaunt through her young years in a long-gone rural Iowa. Poverty, the death of her young father, and stints in an orphanage, a foster home and a convent all propel her to an adulthood where she finds peace—with herself and God.
